And so this new book, if it does little else, formalizes Nancy's indebtedness to the German titan, frequently invoking as it does quotes and arguments from the great philosophical legacies like the Phenomenology of Spirit and the Science of Logic. One's vision is blurred as the clouds crystallize around you making it difficult to see the horizon. In 1856, a Prussian immigrant named Henry Conrad Brokmeyer retreated deep into the Missouri woods with a gun, a dog and a copy of ???Science of Logic,??? a philosophical text by Georg Hegel.
